Sabotage Studio, developer of the upcoming retro RPG Sea of Stars, has released a quick new gameplay clip showing off the game’s combat system.
In particular, this clip shows off the modified HUD (heads-up display) that players will use during battles. It gives a retro feel, like in Square-Enix games, while adding some modern touches. Most importantly, the HUD doesn’t clutter the battle screen, allowing you to easily make choices and get the job done. Sea of Stars is a turn-based RPG inspired by the classics. It tells the story of two children of the Solstice who will combine the powers of the sun and the moon to perform the magic of the eclipse, the only force capable of repelling the monstrous creations of the evil alchemist known as The Fleshmancer.
