A dataminer has now discovered the first details of possible microtransactions for the Battlefield 2042 shooter.

It’s not uncommon for game files to hide hints of future content. The developers have already left entries, especially for live service games, in which new content is regularly expected.

Dataminer Temporyal recently found references to previously unpublished specialists for Battlefield 2042.

From the same source now comes information that also points to future microtransactions in the current part of the Battlefield series.

Last week, with the major 4.0 update for Battlefield 2042, new images were added for the categories “Bundles”, “XP Boosts” and “Cosmetics for Soldiers, Weapons and Vehicles”.

Discovered in other files were five packs for premium currency and tiers, as well as weekly and bonus missions for the Battle Pass.

As always, it remains to be seen whether these things will actually be implemented in a future update in Battlefield 2042.
