German number one Angelique Kerber reached the third round at the French Open with a 6-1, 7-6 (7-2) victory over French wildcard Elsa Jacquemot on Wednesday. Kerber will face Alexandra Sasnovich on Friday after the Belarusian surprisingly defeated British US Open winner Emma Raducanu 3-6, 6-1, 6-1.
