Austria is to ease mask-wearing rules, imposed to counter the coronavirus pandemic, from June 1, Health Minister Johannes Rauch announced in Vienna on Tuesday. The current obligation to wear an FFP-2 mask on public transport and in supermarkets is to be lifted provisionally for three months this summer, Rauch said. Mask-wearing will continue to be obligatory in hospitals and homes for the elderly.
