According to information revealed by an American media, SpaceX would have paid 250,000 dollars to silence the allegations of sexual assault against its CEO Elon Musk. The complainant would have been subject to a confidentiality clause, prohibiting her from speaking about the case. The main interested party, he denies and evokes a “conspiracy”.

Elon Musk, boss of SpaceX and Tesla and the richest man in the world, was accused of sexual assault in 2018, for facts dating back to 2016, according to the American media Insider. The plaintiff, a flight attendant employed by SpaceX, was allegedly encouraged by the company to obtain a masseuse license so that she could perform massages on Elon Musk. In 2016, during a flight to London, she was allegedly called to perform a massage on Musk, where he “was completely naked except for a sheet covering the lower half of his body”. During the massage, he allegedly exposed his erect penis to the complainant, before touching her without her consent. He would have offered to buy her a horse (the young woman indeed rides a horse) in exchange for“do more”, that is to say, to have a sexual relationship. She would have refused and continued the massage.

From that moment on, the plaintiff would have felt “sidelined” by SpaceX, as if she were “punished for refusing to prostitute herself”, according to documents Insider was able to provide. It was then that she contacted a lawyer and reported the facts to a friend, who then asked to prepare a statement on the facts reported by the flight attendant. Following a mediation attended by Elon Musk, in 2018 the parties reportedly agreed to a $250,000 dismissal deal for the stewardess, in exchange for a confidentiality clause, under which the plaintiff would not have the right to disclose any information concerning Elon Musk, SpaceX or even Tesla.

Since the revelation of this case, Elon Musk has denied the accusations. In a tweet, he denounces a “political” plot, while he is currently in the midst of taking over the social network, for which he wants total freedom of expression, without any moderation.

“The attacks on me have to be viewed through a political prism – it’s their (despicable) usual way of doing things”, he says. He pursues : “I challenge this liar who says her friend saw me ‘discovered’: name me one thing, anything (scars, tattoos…) that is not publicly known. She can’t do it, because it never happened. » “There are predators all over the world”denounces, meanwhile, the friend of the complainant, who is not kept silent. “But when someone so rich and powerful is involved, he has an entire system working for him, allowing him to do whatever he wants. When we choose not to say anything, we become part of this system. »
