After Android 10, Google officially stopped using the names of sweets for new versions of the mobile system, but internally, the developers have still given each new version a sweet nickname. Android 11 was called Red Velvet Cake, Android 12 was called Snow Cone and Android 13 is called Tiramisu.
Now reports Android Central that an early test build of the next version of the system, Android 14, has been nicknamed Upside Down Cake.
Uppochner cake, as it is called in some Swedish recipes, is a pastry where fruit of some kind is placed in the bottom of a cake tin and a batter, usually sponge cake, is poured on top. After baking, the cake is turned upside down and served with the fruit on top. The name comes as usual from the fact that Google wants something that starts with the next letter in the alphabet, and after tiramisu needed a u-name.
