The European Union’s rapid alert system for dangerous products received 2,142 alerts over the course of 2021, with the highest number attributed to the motor vehicles category, the European Commission reported in Brussels on Monday. Motor vehicles, with 26% of the alerts to the EU’s Safety Gate, topped the list for the first time, followed by toys, with electrical appliances in third place.
