ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Sunday that an MRI confirmed that Embiid has a torn ligament in his right thumb, which will need to be operated on. However, he’ll play through the injury for the remainder of the postseason. Embiid himself said yesterday that he would not miss time as he attempts to lead Philadelphia to its first NBA Finals appearance since 2001.
