Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic and Fox Sports spoke to Conforto’s agent Scott Boras, who confirmed that Conforto underwent shoulder surgery. “Last week Michael Conforto underwent successful shoulder surgery by Dr. Neil ElAttrache,” Boras said. “He is expected to make a full recovery and return to play in spring training 2023.” Conforto spent the 2021 season with the New York Mets before hitting the free agent market after the season.
