Developers whose applications in the App Store have not been updated for a long time began to receive notifications about the imminent removal of the application from the store.
You have 30 days to update the program. If during this time at least one update is not submitted for moderation, the application will disappear from the App Store. Applications on users’ devices will remain and continue to work as before.
Apple explained this approach as a “store improvement initiative.” A constant process of checking and removing programs that don’t work as intended, don’t follow the rules, or are simply outdated.
Independent developers do not agree with the new approach: fully functional applications and games that do not need to be updated can be removed.
