As is well known, Halo Infinite will start its second season called “Lone Wolves” at the beginning of May, but contrary to earlier plans, the campaign co-op is not initially included. However, a new roadmap to the upcoming content now reveals roughly when you can expect it.
Season 2 called “Lone Wolves” starts in Halo Infinite from May 3rd and wants to keep you busy with lots of new content. Among other things, there will also be a number of new game modes that we have already discussed in an earlier message. At the start of the new season, the promised campaign co-op is not yet there, but it should be delivered later in the course of the season. But what does that mean in concrete terms?
343 Industries has now published a roadmap for the new season and is now providing some fresh information in this regard. Accordingly, the release of the cooperative campaign is currently scheduled for the end of August. That would still be clearly within Season 2, which is scheduled to last until November 7th. In this context, the start of Season 3 has already been confirmed for November 8th.
There is also news about the Forge toolset. According to the makers themselves, they want to make this available to the players “sooner rather than later”. An open beta of the Forge mode is scheduled to start in Season 2, probably sometime in September. This should then be continued in the new Season 3.
Forge has been tested internally for some time with a limited number of participants. therefore one is now ready to target an open beta. As part of the ongoing beta, Forge will then be regularly expanded and continue to grow over time.
The longer duration of Season 2 should also allow 343 Industries to implement more quality-of-life improvements based on the experiences of Season 1. In addition, further data and the feedback are evaluated in order to take action in this regard.
For the mentioned Season 3 from the end of the year you can again get a new Battle Pass, new maps, new game modes, more sandbox items, narrative events, a new fracture event, the continuation of the open Forge Bega, the split-screen co-op of the campaign and expect general optimizations.
