The makers of Pokémon Go have released a teaser that could indicate that changes to the Mega Pokémon will come into play soon, perhaps as early as May 1, 2022. Perhaps the entire system will then be revolutionized – and finally made attractive for every player.
For weeks now, the Pokemon Go dataminers a revamp of Mega Pokemon and Mega Evolutions at. And apparently the planned adjustments will come into play soon? At least that’s what a post by the people of Pokémon Go via Twitter, which featured an animated mega icon, suggests.
We don’t want to conjure anything, but May 1, 2022 is fast approaching and we think it’s quite possible that the Mega Pokémon could already be revised – and become much more attractive than they are currently in Pokémon Go.
What needs to be done about the Mega Pokémon?
Currently, you can mostly only get hold of the mega energies for the initial and subsequent mega developments of certain Pokémon via mega raids or field research. If you’ve made a Pokemon Mega, you can only bring it to a raid battle if no other trainer wants to use one. In general, the following applies to Mega Raids: They are hardly played and Mega Pokémon themselves are quite unattractive.
However, data miners have already collected a lot of information from the Pokémon Go APK, which specify the revisions of the Mega Pokémon. Mega energies, for example, should no longer be needed for a mega evolution, except for the first mega evolution and then when you want to mega the pocket monster in its rest phase (cooldown).
Mega Pokémon could reach three different levels when they Mega Evolution. There might be a daily limit for Mega Evolutions. Then, in turn, bonuses should be linked to the mega developments, which could bring in XL candies for trainers from level 40. And then it also seems to be planned that you can make a Pokémon Mega in the raid lobby – and don’t have to do the evolution outside of the waiting area. That sounds promising. Exactly what exactly comes into play though, we’ll have to wait and see when the Pokemon Go developers are ready for the announcement.
