To continue investing in the game’s development.

Eve Online has offered its fair share of controversy during its many years in the market. Most recently, it revolved around the developer CCP Games poodling about adding NFTs to the game, and now it’s time again. This time, they have decided to raise the prices of Omega subscriptions and Plex items in the game, and not entirely unexpectedly, many players upset.

The decision This means, for example, that the price of a one-month Omega subscription increases from $ 14.99 to $ 19.99, while a twelve-month subscription increases from $ 131.4 to $ 149. Plex will in turn be sold in significantly more packages, from 50 to 20,000 plex. The prices differ depending on how large packages you buy, but as an example you get 110 plexes today for $ 4.99, while in the future you will get 100 plexes for the same price. However, the difference becomes smaller the larger the package you buy.

CCP justifies the increase by saying that they must adjust for inflation and that they want to continue investing in Eve Onlines development and growth. The price increases will take effect from 17 May and so far they have only shared figures in dollars.
