With just under two weeks left before Apple kicks off WWDC22, the company is announcing the winners of its annual Swift Student Challenge today. Along with the traditional winner prizes we’ve seen in recent years, Apple is adding a pair of AirPods Pro as an extra gift.
This year’s WWDC Student Challenge was held at Apple’s Swift Playgrounds 4. As in previous years, students from all over the world entered the competition to create a Swift project of their choice with the goal of creating an interactive scene that could be experienced in three minutes.
After the deadline for submitting projects at the end of April, Apple began to notify the winners of the competition this morning.
Apple is providing a free one-year membership to its developer program along with WWDC22 outerwear and a badge set, just like it’s been for the past few years.
But this year, Apple is also adding a bonus AirPods Pro to further celebrate the “hard work” of students.
Last year, outerwear included a hoodie and hat, as well as six fun WWDC21 pins. We’ll keep an eye on how the swag looks like this time around. Congratulations to all participants, as well as the winners!
In related news, Apple just released the full WWDC22 schedule. Also, we have some new details about the AirPods 2 coming this year.
