A new week is just around the corner and with it, of course, some fresh video game releases. Compared to the previous week, the number of releases fell slightly from eight to seven. You can find out exactly which titles you can look forward to in the following lines.

Research and Destroy (PS4, PS5)

Release: April 26, 2022

It starts with the turn-based action game Research and Destroy, in which various brilliant scientists have to work together. The focus is on three important elements. First you have to research, because you will get new information about the threat and you can improve your weapons. Then, of course, there’s destruction, which you’ll need to use wisely to defeat your opponents.

The third and last important building block is the co-op mode, which you can play both online and offline. You can go into battle together with one or more other players at any time and try to save the earth.

The Serpent Rogue (PS5)

Release: April 26, 2022

Meanwhile, if you’re more into an action-adventure game, The Serpent Rogue might be worth a look. In it you explore a dark fantasy world inspired by the European Middle Ages in order to learn the art of alchemy. Appropriately, your character is already an alchemist who wants to protect the earth.

To do this, you must eradicate the corruption that casts its shadow over the land, ultimately restoring the old balance. An important aspect of this is the brewing of various potions that give you special abilities. In addition, you must always keep an eye on the possible consequences of your actions, because if you interfere too much with your environment, it could backfire.

The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe (PS4)

Release: April 27, 2022

Gaming fans in particular with game consoles have been waiting for the release of “The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe” for a long time. Unsurprisingly, the original game, originally released back in 2013, remains one of the most unique gaming experiences of recent years. This is mainly because both the narrator and the game world react to your actions.

In addition to the wacky humor, the title naturally also has one or the other innovation in its luggage. In terms of content, for example, new decisions and secrets await you. Furthermore, the look of the game has been revised and various accessibility features have been added.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt (PS5)

Release: April 27, 2022

Friends of Battle Royale battles will also get their money’s worth next week, because with “Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt” the franchise dares to jump into the Free2Play area. A playful third-person shooter awaits you here, in which you not only go into battle with classic firearms, but can also use various supernatural powers. These can give you significant advantages.

Which skills are available to you depends on the clan you have selected. As part of the game’s story, which is set in the well-known “World of Darkness” universe, various vampire factions fight for supremacy over Prague. During the matches you have to keep an eye out for human victims, because if you suck their blood, you will become stronger yourself. In addition, various single player and multiplayer modes as well as character customization options await you.

Kaiju Wars (PS4, PS5)

Release: April 28, 2022

As the title “Kaiju Wars” already suggests, massive monsters attack in this strategy game. Your job is to slow their advance. For example, you can move tanks to the route of the Kaijus or have buildings erected to at least slow down the giant creatures a little. In total, you will face five monsters in the game, each of which moves differently.

So you have to adjust your tactics accordingly. As if that weren’t bad enough, the creatures also mutate and are unstoppable. Even with particularly powerful experimental weapons, you can only ward them off temporarily to prepare for their next attack. In addition to a story campaign, the title also has a map editor that you can use to create your own scenarios.

Tasomachi: Behind the Twilight (PS4)

Release: April 28, 2022

If you are more in the mood for a relaxed fantasy adventure, it might be worth taking a look at “Tasomachi: Behind the Twilight”. In it you slip into the role of the girl Yukumo, who travels the wide world in an airship. However, during a stopover in a town to the east, her vehicle breaks down, so she decides to investigate the area a little more closely.

As she looks around in search of spare parts, she quickly notices that people no longer seem to inhabit this place. Exploring the game world is of great importance in the game, as are various puzzles and jumps. In addition, there are various unlockable extras that you can use to gradually beautify your character and your room.

Ravenous Devils (PS4, PS5)

Release: April 29, 2022

If you’re fans of the Sweeney Todd story, chances are you’ll enjoy Ravenous Devils. In it, you run a corpse cook shop in a run-down town dominated by poverty and misery. Their unsuspecting victims lure the two main characters, Percival and Hildred, into a tailor shop above their kitchen.

You have to first wrap customers around your little finger and then find an opportune moment to take them out. Once you’ve stolen their clothes, which are used as material for new goods, you can take the remains down through a trapdoor and into the kitchen. In the four-hour campaign, you can also improve your equipment in order to assassinate the sometimes grotesque characters even more efficiently.
