Activision promises the most advanced experience in franchise history for the Call of Duty Modern Warfare (2019) sequel.

Today Activision Blizzard released the results of its financial report for the first quarter of 2022.

In the results, the company reported declining revenue for the Call of Duty franchise in the first quarter compared to a year ago, due to lower premium sales of Call of Duty: Vanguard and interest in Call of Duty: Warzone. Only the mobile version of Call of Duty remained almost unchanged from the prior-year quarter.

Much more interesting, however, are the statements about the next part of the series, which will be released this year, and about the new Warzone.

The sequel to Modern Warfare (2019) was described as “the most progressive experience in the history of the franchise”.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 has been developed in parallel to Modern Warfare 2 and will feature groundbreaking innovations that will be unveiled later this year.

Overall, both the sequel to Modern Warfare (2019) and Warzone 2 are progressing very well under the leadership of Infinite Ward.

The next Call of Duty game was only teased on the social media channels over the weekend. A revelation should therefore not be long in coming.
