Riot Games is giving its successful online shooter Valorant another episode this week. With the latest act, the fresh agent Fade is also introduced.
Valorant fans will get the next substantial update later this week. Today Riot Games has confirmed the launch of Episode 4 Act 3 for April 27th. Above all, there will be a new agent who will complement the existing team of characters.
This is the new initiator, Fade, who strikes terror into the hearts of her opponents. It is intended to represent an alternative to other reconnaissance agents in the future. Regarding this, the creators in the person of game designer Nicholas Smith say: “We wanted to give Sova competition that plays a little differently We wanted the player to stay close to the action and with the agent, so we decided against an out-of-body ability (i.e. drone/wolf/astral form) and wanted a scout that didn’t rely so much on agent selection .”

Her ability, Night Elves, is a missile that turns into a Night Elves on ground contact, revealing enemies in its field of view. “Catch” allows Fade to pin down her enemies with a Nachtmar ink projectile. “Nightshade” follows enemy agents or their tracks across the ground. If an enemy is hit by this, their vision is severely restricted. There’s no escaping it, especially when Fade activates her ultimate ability, Nightfall, where she equips the power of fear to send out a wave of nightmare energy. This attack goes through walls, leaving a trail to the opponent, stunning them with deafness and causing decay.
In addition to Fade, there will of course also be a new Battle Pass with all sorts of new accessories. While there will also be free rewards, the full version of the Battle Pass will cost 1,000 VP.
Complementing the Battle Pass are also new skins from the RGX 11z Pro line of skins, inspired by high-end gaming hardware. A corresponding RGX 11z Pro 2.0 bundle costs you 8,700 VP and includes the skin for Phantom, Classic, Operator, Specter and Balisong. Also included is a banner, spray and a special RGX 11z Pro themed charm.
