Shenzhen Zhengtong Electronics established a 30-person OpenHarmony product research and development team, and began to study and evaluate the technical feasibility of porting OpenHarmony 3.1 version to the existing financial terminal product ZT8669.

ZT8669 is a financial service smart terminal for merchants and bank outlets sold by Zhengtong in the current market. It integrates payment methods such as face recognition, card swiping, code scanning, passbook, etc. It needs to support cameras, keyboards, printers, and IC card reading. hardware peripherals such as an ID card reader, an ID card reader, and a large 11-inch touch screen. The current ZT8669 product is developed based on the Android operating system. After analyzing the capabilities of OpenHarmony version 3.1, the Zhengtong team selected this device for the transplantation of OpenHarmony. The transplantation scheme adopts the relatively mature RK3568 of the current community-rich equipment as the main chip. During the southward migration and adaptation process, the R&D team of Zhengtong Electronics has continuously conquered the debugging and adaptation of peripheral drivers such as code scanning, second-generation ID card recognition, magnetic stripe cards, IC cards, contactless cards, and printers. It is in the screen driver adaptation, and it has encountered many difficulties. The Zhengtong team has been greatly assisted by the OpenHarmony working group, and finally successfully completed the southward migration adaptation.

Next, Zhengtong Electronics cooperated with the National Financial Evaluation Center to complete the functional transplantation of the core components of the bank card payment transaction in about three weeks; in about four weeks, completed the UI design, SDK and JS application development, so that it can work normally Accept bank card payment transactions.

The porting work was initially carried out on the OpenHarmony 3.1 Beta version. On March 30, 2022, the community released the 3.1 Release version and enhanced many new features. On the evening of the 30th, the Zhengtong team started the 3.1 Release version porting work. With The porting experience of the 3.1 Beta version, the version upgrade is relatively smooth, on April 1, ZT8669 successfully ran the OpenHarmony 3.1 Release version, and successfully completed the financial transaction business, and initially completed the development of the ZT8669 OpenHarmony version of the financial terminal prototype.

The OpenHarmony version of ZT8669 integrates full-scenario payment capabilities (bank cards, passbooks, code scanning, face swiping, digital RMB, etc.), adopts modular technology, and configures different interactive components for payment scenarios in different industries.Can support social security card, gas card, electricity card and other card readersand realize the innovation of payment business with industry characteristics.

Regarding the successful porting of OpenHarmony 3.1 Release to the product prototype, the Zhengtong team said:
