Apple will soon be opening a brand new store in East Rutherford, NJ, as the company posted a job at that location on Apple Jobs. This will be the company’s first new US retail store in nearly a year.

As Michael Stieber wrote in his Tabletops newsletter, East Rutherford is “Apple’s brand new US location since Apple The Mall at Bay Plaza opened” last September.

It’s important to note that the company opened a new The Grove store in Los Angeles late last year, although the old address was simply moved to the new one.

At Apple East Rutherford in New Jersey, one of the available jobs is Business Pro. The company explains what this role is:

Your job as a Business Pro is to drive sales and raise awareness of Apple products in the business community. You keep customers engaged with briefings and workshops that showcase how Apple and third-party technologies and services can help them succeed. With customer relationship management (CRM) tools, you plan and predict business performance through account management, pipeline building, and opportunity management.

At this point, it’s unclear exactly when Apple plans to open this New Jersey Apple Store, or exactly where in East Rutherford it will be located.

This weekend, the company opened its first store in Wuhan, China. It’s only the second retail chain in the world to have a pick-up area, which is likely to become the standard for all other Apple stores. Here’s what Apple’s Deirdre O’Brien had to say about the discovery:

“We are very excited to open our first Apple Store in Hubei. (…) This retail store is the first to introduce new design elements in China, giving shoppers more options to explore ideas, learn more about Apple products, or make it easier to get an online order from the store,” said an Apple senior vice president. Retail Operations and Human Resources Deirdre O’Brien.
