Twitter user Elliot Sharod talked about how several Apple AirTag trackers helped him find and return luggage that was lost through the fault of the airline.

Elliot and his wife Helen were returning to the UK from South Africa, where they had just married. Already in London, the couple discovered that three suitcases had not reached their destination at once. Fortunately, each of them had an AirTag beacon hidden in them.

Somehow, the luggage with the trackers ended up in Frankfurt, Germany. Elliot contacted the airline, and Aer Lingus promised to deliver the bags from Frankfurt to London, and from there to the Sharods’ home.

A few days later, Elliot received two suitcases, and the third was delivered to a different address for unknown reasons. After several unsuccessful attempts to find the bag using Aer Lingus, the owner of the luggage shared his story on Twitter and even created a PowerPoint presentation in which he visually indicated the movements of his AirTag suitcase.

After the story of the missing baggage was published by CNN, the airline found the missing suitcase and returned it to Elliot.
