Since it was pushed back last November, just three months after it was announced, Marvel’s Midnight Suns has somewhat disappeared from circulation. However, the game has reappeared on the radar thanks to a recent listing with the Korean classification body, indicating that the title of FIRAXIS Games could make a comeback soon, especially during the Summer Game Fest. The now very famous insider Tom Henderson seems to confirm this track, and also indicates that the game has been entitled to changes.

The basics of the gameplay reworked?

In an article published on Try Hard GuidesHenderson reveals that his sources told him that Marvel’s Midnight Suns suffered a ” big overhaul since the last time we saw himand that it could have a link with the gameplay and its card mechanics, which introduces chance into the fights. Henderson clarifies that he doesn’t know how accurate the term “redesign” is here, so it could very well be minor changes.

The insider then states that the game is set to return on Opening Night Live on June 9, with a new trailer to show off this revamp, as well as a new release date to communicate to us.

It now remains to be seen if the additional months of development are enough for the team to revise some key gameplay elements, or if the game will skip its promise of a release in the second half of 2022. All this is to be taken in the conditional for the moment, and we will have to wait for the Summer Game Fest to be sure.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns is expected on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch.
