Pac-Man turns 42 with Fortnite items, sloggi underwear and the energetic music video for We are PAC-MAN!

With a longevity like that of Pac maneach year passed in the memories of the players deserves to be celebrated. bandai namco therefore decided to celebrate the arcade hero’s 42nd birthday with several initiatives that he details this week.

A new PAC-MAN MUSEUM+ video game

Available this Friday, May 27 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC (supports Xbox Play Anywhere), PAC-MAN MUSEUM+ invites players to discover or revisit 14 games from the legendary PAC-MAN series, some of which were not available for many years. The game is also compatible with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and will be playable with Xbox Game Pass at launch. Additionally, players will be able to customize their virtual arcade with decorations and souvenirs before starting the game’s various missions.

A song and music video “We are PAC-MAN”

To continue the festivities, a new song and music video were released on May 23. The song, titled We are PAC-MAN!, is performed by Kaho Kidoguchi in Japanese and English, and Ann Una in Chinese. It aims to promote cooperation and connections between people to live a healthier lifestyle.

Cosmetics in FORTNITE

On June 2, to join the celebration, Epic Games’ Fortnite game will be hosting PAC-MAN themed cosmetics.

New partnerships

In addition to these announcements, PAC-MAN’s presence outside of video games continues to grow through new partnerships. Starting June 6, the PAC-MAN x EASTPAK collection will be available at participating retailers in EMEA, the United States, and South Korea, along with bags, suitcases, and pencil cases. For tourists visiting Paris, Yooma Urban Lodge Paris Tour Eiffel will offer a PAC-MAN maze with immersive decoration of the hotel lobby, courtyard and corridors. In Berlin, the computer game museum Computerspielemuseum will encourage visitors to re-enact history in its museum. Additionally, PAC-MAN and the Ghosts will take control of a U-Bahn 5 train starting this month. Scheduled for this fall, a PAC-MAN collection in collaboration with sloggi will be available in several countries in Europe and Asia.
