IT House News on May 24, according to CCTV News, on May 23 local time, the CEO of Meta, the parent company of Facebook, an American social media platformMark Zuckerberg indicted by U.S. Attorney General Karl Racine in Washington, D.C..

IT Home understands that,Racine accuses Zuckerberg of direct involvement in decision-making that led to data breach linked to Cambridge Analytica.

In a statement, Racine said there was evidence Facebook had failed to protect users’ privacy and data, whileZuckerberg was personally involved, which directly led to the related data breach.

In the new lawsuit, Racine alleges that Facebook allowed third parties such as the now-defunct political consultancy Cambridge Analytica to access the personal data of 87 million Americans, The Wall Street Journal reported. For this case,Meta declined to comment.
