AMD updated its Adrenalin graphics driver for the second time in May. In addition to support for Sniper Elite 5, some optimizations have been made. Radeon Super Resolution (RSR) is now compatible with the Ryzen 6000 CPUs with integrated graphics.

The other improvements are:

  • Ray tracing update for Hitman 3
  • Additional Vulkan expansions
  • New Sharpness Effect slider that allows you to tune RSR’s sharpness effect to your own desired settings.
  • AMD Privacy View: A unique software based on the latest eye-tracking technology, developed in collaboration with the Eyeware team. It monitors your eye movements and displays only the part of the screen you’re looking at, while dimming the rest. More on that in this post
  • DirectX 11 Optimizations for Radeon RX 6000 Series – Up to 8% better performance in DirectX 11-based games with AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 22.5.2 on Radeon RX 6950 XT, compared to the previous driver version 22.5.1
  • AMD Smart Access Memory optimizations for Death Stranding and Watch Dogs: Legion
    • Up to 10% performance boost with new SAM optimizations in Death Stranding™ @ 1440p Very High Settings and up to 13% performance boost with new SAM optimizations in Watch Dogs: Legion, running AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 22.5.2 on Radeon RX 6950 XT, vs. AMD Software: Adrenaline Edition 22.5.1
    • Up to 12% performance increase with new SAM optimizations in Death Stranding @ 1440p Very High settings and up to 24% performance increase with new SAM optimizations in Watch Dogs: Legion, running AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 22.5.2 on the Radeon RX 6750 XT , compared to AMD Software: Adrenaline Edition 22.5.1
    • Up to 6% performance boost with new SAM optimizations in Death Stranding @ 1440p Very High Settings and up to 6% performance boost with new SAM optimizations in Watch Dogs: Legion, running AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 22.5.2 on the Radeon RX 6650 XT , compared to AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 22.5.1

Known problems:

  • When playing Fortnite with Multithreaded Rendering and DirectX 11 API, you may experience a performance drop on some AMD graphics cards such as the Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics.
  • You may experience stuttering when playing Call of Duty: Warzone on the Caldera card with some AMD graphics cards such as the Radeon RX 6900 XT Graphics.
  • Higher than expected CPU usage when Instant Replay is enabled on some AMD graphics cards such as the Radeon RX 6900 XT Graphics.
  • With some AMD graphics cards, e.g. For example, the Radeon 570 may see GPU utilization stuck at 100% in Radeon performance metrics after exiting games.
  • With some AMD graphics cards, e.g. B. Radeon RX 6700 XT, the display may flicker black during video playback and gaming. Using Radeon Super Resolution on 2560×1600 resolution screens may cause a system crash. A temporary workaround is to set the screen’s scaling mode to full screen.
  • Enhanced Sync may result in a black screen on some games and system configurations when enabled. Any users experiencing issues with Enhanced Sync enabled should disable it as a temporary workaround.
  • Radeon performance metrics and logging features may intermittently report extremely high and incorrect memory clock readings.
