Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption from 2010 couldn’t hurt with a fresh coat of paint.

A new concept video from the YouTube channel Enfant Terrible shows what could be gotten out of the game.

Red Dead Redemption meets Unreal Engine 5

It should be noted that the corresponding scenes that you see in the video were not simply designed specifically for this purpose.

Rather, it is a compilation of various reels and projects for Unreal Engine 5. Zbrush and Quixel megscans as well as assets from the Unreal Marketplace were also used for this.

You can see desert regions, but also forests and mountain regions. You are also given a glimpse of protagonist John Marston, both on foot and on his horse.

More on the subject:

progress demonstrated

At the same time, the video also illustrates the technical advances that have been made since 2010 up to the current Unreal Engine 5.

It’s easy to imagine older games like Red Dead Redemption based on this modern technical framework. Whether it will come to that and whether the projects will then go into full swing is another question.

Rockstar’s parent company Take-Two recently confirmed that they are planning a total of eight “new versions” of already released titles for the next few years (until 2025). So potentially these are remasters, remakes or ports for Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5.

However, names were not mentioned in the course of this. So far we can only speculate which games could get a new edition.
