Apple has registered with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) an unusual network adapter with the code number A2657.

According to the submitted documents, the device has two Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules, an NFC module and a USB-C port. It runs iOS 15.5, is equipped with 1.5 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory.

There is also a second version of the accessory with Lightning instead of USB-C and 1 GB of RAM.

It is not yet known what it is, and it is not a fact that the gadget will reach consumers.
