Germans across the country are able to buy €9 ($9.5) monthly passes for public transport from today, as one of the measures introduced by the government to cushion high inflation. Rail operator Deutsche Bahn and numerous transport associations have started selling the tickets, which will be valid for travel from July, for a three-month period only.
