Apple may introduce chips made using TSMC’s 2nm process into iPhones and Macs as early as 2025.
According to DigiTimes, TSMC will start mass production of 3nm chips at the end of 2022, and 2nm in 2025. Apple and Intel will be among the first manufacturers to use the new process technology. The transition to a new process technology will improve the performance of gadgets and reduce their energy consumption.
Recall that the current generation of smartphones uses 5nm A15 Bionic chips, and computers use 5nm Apple M1.
