It is now a traditional, recurring event in the game and every month you get a new chance, it is mainly appreciated for the higher chance of shiny Pokemon.

When is Community Day April 2022 in Pokémon Go?

Here is the date for the current Community Day of the month in Pokémon Go:

  • Saturday April 23, 2022 – 2pm to 5pm local time

Below we tell you which Pokémon you can catch that day and which bonuses are still active:

  • Saturday April 23, 2022 – Velursi + triple Catch EXP, double Catch Candies, double chance of Velursi Candies XL

What else you should know:

  • Take snapshots during the event to attract some extra Velursi.
  • Evolve Velursi into Kosturso during the event and up to two hours after, and it will learn the Charged Attack Drain Slam.
  • Lure Modules and Smoke will last for three hours during the event
  • An additional special exchange is possible during the event and up to two hours afterwards
  • Each exchange during the event and up to two hours after it costs 50% less Stardust
  • If Trainers catch enough Pokémon lured by a single Lure Module, the amount of Catch EXP near each Pokéstop will increase fourfold for 30 minutes
  • For around one euro there is a new and suitable special research in the in-game shop.
  • You can get 30 free Hyper Balls in the in-game shop
  • Meanwhile, a new Community Day box with 15 Hyper Balls, 15 Pinap Berries, 1 Top Instant TM and 1 Remote Raid Pass can be bought in the in-game shop for 850 PokéCoins.

How does Community Day work in Pokemon Go?

At Community Day, a specific Pokémon is usually the focus and dominates the events in Pokémon Go for several hours. Warning: Community Day with Velursi is returning to the three-hour time slot!

The respective Pokémon appear more frequently in the wild during the event period, you can also attract them with smoke and bait modules and take a few snapshots for additional encounters.

There are also rotating bonuses, evolved Pokémon can have exclusive moves, and in most cases, the shiny specimen of each Pokémon makes its in-game debut during Community Day. On top of that, the chances of catching a dazzling specimen are significantly increased during the event period.
