Aldi has announced two new laptops for gamers. The Defender P15 costs just under 1,300 euros, while the Beast X25 goes for around 2,500 euros over the counter. What do you get for your money?

Again and again the discounter Aldi offers laptops from the Medion brand. On June 2nd it will be that time again, then there will be two new gaming notebooks. For around 1,300 euros is then the Medion Erazer Defender P15 available. If you want to spend 2,500 euros, you can get this as an alternative Medion Erazer Beast X25. Both portable PCs feature an AMD Ryzen 5000 and an Nvidia laptop GPU. Both gaming laptops have a backlit RGB keyboard. The offer is valid from 06/02/2022 from 7 a.m. until 06/26/2022 at the latest or while stocks last.

This is what the Medion Defender P15 & the Beast X25 offer

The Defender P15 MD64035 combines an Nvidia Geforce RTX 3060 laptop GPU with a TGP of 130 watts with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H. Content is displayed on a matte 17.3-inch IPS display with Full HD resolution. The refresh rate is 144 hertz. 16 GiByte DDR4-3200 RAM is available as main memory, data can be stored on a one terabyte PCI Express SSD. You can access the Internet either via a LAN cable or wirelessly with Wi-Fi 6. The battery has a capacity of 48.96 Wh and should enable a battery life of up to three hours.


Those who can spend almost 2,500 euros will get the Medion Erazer Beast X25. Here you get a gaming laptop with a matte 1440p IPS screen with 17.3 inches and a refresh rate of 165 Hz. The processor is an AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX, which is powered by an Nvidia Geforce RTX 3080 laptop GPU with 165 watts TGP is supported. 64 gigabytes of DDR4-3200 RAM are installed, as well as a two terabyte PCI Express SSD. In contrast to the cheaper brother, the built-in battery with 91.2 Wh cannot be replaced by the user. According to the manufacturer, the Beast X25 should also have a battery life of three hours.
