Curious weapon saves player’s life

Along with plenty of conventional weapons, there are also some genuine oddities in GTA Online – and the special feature of one of these weapons saved the life of an online player.

GTA Online: Up-N-Atomizer saves players

A rocket launcher that shoots fireworks, a musket, a railgun – GTA Online is full of outrageous weapons that fans can use to strike fear into Los Santos and other players.

A weapon is often used when a hacker causes trouble in the lobby: the Up-N Atomizer. The small pistol has a very special function: it doesn’t fire deadly projectiles, but creates a blast that knocks opposing players off their feet and even pushes vehicles a few meters backwards. This is how some veterans have used Godmode to drive cheaters insane in the past.

But the small trouser pocket hurricane can not only be used for the attack, but also itself turn out to be a real lifesaveras a new Reddit clip proves:

The short video shows Reddit user Aqualungerr approaching a cliff on Mount Chiliad with a blast gun drawn. Suddenly his character stumbles and threatens to fall down the exit. Probably accidentally, Aqualungerr pulls the trigger of his weapon again when his fate seems already sealed and this triggers a shock wave that catapults him off the cliff edge and into the air.

But instead of falling to his doom again, an animation is suddenly triggered that shows him that he can use his parachute. He quick-wittedly triggers it and then calmly sails to the ground. If not for the use of the small weapon, he would probably have fallen to his doom.

GTA 5 wasn’t perfect. Rockstar would have to change these points in GTA 6 to make the game a real masterpiece:

However, some players are surprised that you can even fire your weapon when the character is about to fall. In fact, the feature has been part of the games since GTA 4. In the predecessor, even larger weapons such as assault rifles, shotguns and the like, which have to be held with two hands, could be fired while falling – in GTA Online, on the other hand, this only works with one-handed firearms.

We are excited to see what new features GTA 6 will offer. Rockstar has already confirmed that the game is in development. When it will appear, however, is still open.
