The developer TuxSH has just updated Boot9strap originally proposed by SciresM, which allows to execute code in Boot9/Boot11 named boot9strap. 5 years after the release of SciresM, now TuxSH was able to update it.
Boot9Strap Changelog 1.4
Running Boot9/Boot11 code.
Bots are about 0.25s to 0.4s faster.
Size halved, now less than 16KB
If the ntrboot (X+Start+Select) combination is held, or if any of the FIRM files are corrupted, the notification LED will display the following:
– SD FIRM loaded successfully: green
– SD FIRM missing, CTRNAND FIRM loaded successfully: yellow
– SD FIRM corrupted, CTRNAND FIRM loaded successfully: orange
– SD FIRM absent, CTRNAND FIRM also absent: white
– SD FIRM missing, CTRNAND FIRM corrupt: magenta
– SD FIRM corrupted, CTRNAND FIRM also corrupted: red
In addition to the above, the LED will flash if it is an ntrboot boot.
The ability to back up boot9/boot11/otp has been removed (newer Luma’s do an automatic backup of otp.bin anyway). This is also how such improvements could be made in the first place.
