LG has introduced a new projector for those who are not so keen on having the projector hanging from the ceiling. This is a so-called “short throw” projector, projectors that can be placed almost right next to the projector wall where the material from them is to be displayed.

LG’s new CineBeam 4K, which has model number HU915QE, can be set only 5.6 centimeters from the projector wall and should be able to project a 90-inch image with 4K resolution from there. If you move the projector about 20 centimeters from the road, you can inflate the projector image to 120 inches. The HU915QE has a light source of 3700 ANSI lumens and has a built-in 2.2 speaker system of 40W.

The LG CineBeam 4K HU915QE will be released in Europe sometime during the first half of the year. LG will not mention what it will cost, but in the US the price seems to land at around 6000 dollars.
