A man was arrested this week and charged with murdering his girlfriend who was found dead in her Belleville home last month, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office and the Belleville Police announced Friday. On March 12, friends and family of the woman, 50-year-old Candy Torres, were unable to reach her by phone, police said. A family member went to her home on Hero Way, found her unresponsive and called the police.
