Anyone who had hoped that Larian would have time to complete Baldur’s Gate 3 in 2022 will unfortunately have to wait a little longer than that. The studio has now confirmed that it aims for a full launch in 2023 instead.

Larian, who is currently working on the development of the game Baldur’s Gate 3, has previously given indications that the aim is to launch the game entirely sometime in 2022. This after the game has been in Early Access since 2020.

Now the studio has unfortunately changed and is now aiming to get the game out of Early Access sometime next year. This according to the developer’s latest update around the development of the game. In the video, the studio mentions that they have already implemented a large amount of content in the game since it became available in its unfinished state. And that much more is on the way to the game during its Early Access journey. It is also mentioned how gamblers can accompany the journey already now or wait until next year when the game is launched.

Unfortunately, Larian has not given any more specific launch date than “2023”. However, one can hope that it will not be during any later month of the year when the goal from the beginning was to launch Baldur’s Gate 3 in 2022.
