Japan’s core consumer prices in March rose 0.8 percent from a year earlier, government data showed Friday. The nationwide core consumer price index, excluding volatile fresh food items, increased for the seventh straight month, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications said. In February, the key indicator of inflation gained 0.6 percent. In fiscal 2021 ended March, the core CPI was up 0.1 percent, the data showed.
