The Nightmare, a large otherworldly hybrid of Horse and Capricorn, has “chained” Severian and Valeria together, but Baldanders rushes in, keeping the right distance from his colleague to avoid hitting her, then lets out his powerful Warhammer after a 180 degree -Terminate bow in the skull of the ugly horror beast. After that, an overhead punch and finally the wrath ability and the beast is down. Faster process is done with the remaining ghost boars and wolves, even if in the last round of combat both Dr. Both Talos and Dorcas run from the battlefield – their combined terror had become too great.
But as with Alia, who, near death, can only hobble around, everything is forgotten after the fight: The two fleeing get XP as well as the rest, the dented armor is quickly repaired, Alia’s wounds are treated by a sip from the medicine bottle – and my bunch is happy about bulky white leather as the most important part of the loot. With it, our ax warrior and blacksmith Chani can craft higher quality weapons and armor. However, only after returning to the next village: Now a rest with freshly prepared roast lamb is announced, because the exhaustion of the group is in the red area. While the luminescent white fog clears over the ghost forest and the colors return to the game world (aka the new day dawns), my brave seven fighters sleep the sleep of the righteous. Not forgetting your three trusty pack mules, two of which have leveled up through battle!
