All three members of the Your Children’s Future slate were re-elected to the West New York school board in landslide victories. Jonathan Castaneda, Ana Sanchez and Douglas Velasquez each garnered nearly three times the number of votes as opponents, Jose Valdez, Dorinne Auriemma and Vipal Parekh. Incumbent slates in North Bergen and Weehawken were unopposed. The three elections, which included votes on approval of school budgets, drew only 5.6% of the voters in the North Hudson communities.
