Just a week ago, rumors surfaced about King Kong and Godzilla in the upcoming third season of Call of Duty: Warzone and Vanguard. With a new trailer, the two monsters have now been confirmed for the new season – the video also provides a date for the start.
One strong pat on the chest – Godzilla and King Kong are coming
Call of Duty: Warzone’s third Pacific Season begins April 27th, bringing two familiar faces into play – the leathery visage of Godzilla and King Kong’s deadly primate visage. A short teaser shows how the two monsters attack each other on the beach.
However, the two should not yet delight the Warzone battlefield with their visit in April. The famous movie monsters wait until May 11th to be introduced during the Operation Monarch event.
“This limited-time event features the iconic titans of the MonsterVerse: Godzilla and Kong,” the developers said in the new CoD blog. The first details are now known.
Until Operation Monarch goes live, Warzone offers you a dig site where you can search for clues to upcoming enemies. In addition, with the new “Offshore Gulag” comes a duel arena and Caldera is visually decorated with skulls, cave paintings and an unearthly axe.
“Huge skulls and rebuilt defenses are just two of the many clues to what’s to come with Operation Monarch,” the developers say.
