After Baldur’s Gate 3 has been in Early Access since 2020, there was still a little hope that the role-playing game from Larian Studios would be released this year. Well, that won’t work then.
Larian Studios had so far held back with regard to a specific release date. Last year, a release this year was still likely, but this was already put into perspective in February. As part of yesterday’s D&D Direct, Head of Production David Walgrave officially confirmed that Baldur’s Gate 3 will not be released until 2023.
“Join us in early access on our journey to Baldur’s Gate 3, or come along in 2023, when the game releases”, were his words and that is at least a consolation. Baldur’s Gate 3 has been in Early Access since 2020 and anyone interested in the role-playing game has been able to gamble diligently and follow the development process of the continuously growing game ever since.
As a small consolation, there is another trailer that gives another look back at the long Early Access phase.
