Two days ago, nintendo surprised us by announcing that Xenoblade Chronicles 3, one of the blockbusters of the year on Switchwould not come out in september as expected but next July 29– to see details here. As a fan of video games, we are used to reports like lately with Zelda BOTW 2 or even Advance Wars but it’s rare for games to come out earlier than expected – or even a few days. Besides, unlike postponements for postponed games, there are not really words to talk about advanced games (‘the “advances”?) So certainly, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 was planned in september and now he comes out July 29. Since we didn’t have a specific date, it could be an advance a month or two. The fact remains that at least the fans will be able to play Xenoblade Chronicles 3 this summer and will therefore not have to wait for the start of the school year. A summer that promises to be rich nintendo-switch with July 24, Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes and on the 22nd, Live A Live (Without forgetting that June 10there will have been Mario Strikers: Battle League Football– to see list of games planned for 2022 on Switch.) We know that the war in Ukraine has upset the release schedule for games on nintendo-switch. Nintendo has preferred to purely and simply cancel the exit ofAdvance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp, believing that the context did not lend itself to the release of a game in which we have fun waging war. A priori, we do not see why Nintendo would consider that the release of a game like Splatoon 3 would it also be inappropriate in the same context? However, the cancellation ofAdvance Wars 1+2 + the postponement of zeldaassuming that it has really been decided This year, necessarily obliged nintendo to revise its catalog and in particular the games of the end of the year. What are the games that will create the event (and the envy) for the holidays? For now, we know for sure that there will be Pokemon Scarlet / Purple. After, besides Splatoon 3there are still two big exclusives expected on Switch: Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope and Bayonetta 3. To tell the truth, except Pokemon Scarlet / Purple, it is not yet known which games will be released this year for Christmas on Nintendo Switch and we expect Nintendo to announce or confirm them dates shortly. In summary, at this point the new release date of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 does not necessarily imply a “postponement” of Splatoon 3. And if there is a postponement, we can still hope that the game will not be shifted to next year or else it is to despair (and would suggest that nintendo was really planning to release a new Switch This year but that by postponing Zelda, the firm postponed the release of its console and with it the “big” games supposed to accompany it…) More than ever, we hope that nintendo won’t make us languish too much and that he will broadly clarify his catalog of releases from second part of the year, in particular with the traditional Nintendo Direct of June.
