“Digimon Survive” has received a valid release date for the western market. The launch will take place at the end of July for the PS4, among others. You can also listen to a statement from the producer.
Bandai Namco’s Digimon Survive has been given a western release date after several postponements. Accordingly, the title will conquer the local market on July 29, 2022.
The news was announced by producer Kazumasu Habu in a video where he apologizes for the game’s delays and confirms that the development team plans to release more news about the game soon.
Announced a few years ago
Digimon Survive was originally announced in 2018, but was delayed due to a combination of pandemic-related issues and the transfer of development to a new development team. However, a teaser released last month suggested that Digimon Survive’s launch wasn’t long in coming.
Digimon Survive follows a group of high school students who stumble into the world of Digimon on a camping trip. When wild Digimon attack, the students are rescued by friendly Digimon, who then team up to help the students find their way home.
Digimon Survive celebrates the 25th anniversary of the Digimon anime. The game is a tactical RPG with an emphasis on storytelling and turn-based combat where players control Takuma and Agumon on their journey.
