Recently, during the “Hybrid Office” event, Microsoft announced a new voice noise reduction feature called “Voice Clarity”.But currently only supports Microsoft’s own devices.

It is reported that this function can integrate signals from multiple microphones through hardware and reduce background noise through advanced echo control, so that users can hear each other more clearly.

Since the technology does not rely on neural processing units, it is technically compatible with most PC devices, without placing too many demands on the hardware like other such noise reduction techniques.

Microsoft said that “Voice Clarity” will be tested first in its own Surface Laptop Studio. But from the description, the technology will be pushed to other hardware in the future.

At the event, in addition to the “Voice Clarity” voice noise reduction technology, Microsoft also showed off a new focus assistant, as well as new features such as a tabbed file manager, all of which have no hardware requirements.
