Apple released a firmware update for the MagSafe Battery Pack, and it turns out that the update boosted charging power from 5W to 7.5W.

In a support document, Apple says that owners of the MagSafe Battery Pack can upgrade to the new 2.7.b.0 firmware to get faster charging capabilities.

You can update the MagSafe Battery Pack by connecting it to your iPhone and waiting (the process can take up to a week), or by using your Mac or iPad to update within five minutes. Apple prompts users to connect a Lightning cable to the MagSafe Battery Pack and then connect a USB port to an iPad or Mac to start the update process.

The MagSafe battery is compatible with iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 smartphones.
