When we unpack the tape from the box, we are struck by how nice the Huawei Fit Elegant Edition is. The case, if we may call it that, is gold-colored, framed by an off-white bracelet. It’s really nice. The screen is a rectangular amoled screen of 1.64 inches, with a resolution of 280 x 456 pixels.

Opinion
An activity band that, in terms of size, sniffs at the smart watch. Huawei Watch Fit is full of features, has a good app, gps and is also handsome enough to be worn to a snug dinner.
Positively
- Handsome
- Gps
- Animated workouts
- Good app
Negative
- Can not be used for music
- The screen is difficult to interpret in bright sunshine
It is thus a relatively large screen if you compare with other activity bands from for example Garmin or Beurer. Which is positive. It is much easier to see what time it is or training data. The brightness is adjusted automatically and you can see what it shows, even at relatively high brightness, if it is direct sunshine it is more difficult to interpret the screen.
The interface is a combination of swipes, dots and a function key. The larger screen makes it easier to swipe between the different menus. The button is used partly to select the menu and partly to start or end a training session. Which is a smart move. Many activity bracelets require you to dab on the screen, which is not always easy with sweaty fingers. Here you press the button and then a dot on the screen to pause or end the workout. Sure, a screen input is required, but it’s still much easier than having to swipe back and forth on a tiny screen with sweaty fingers.
Animated workouts
There are a bunch of different types of workouts you can use – as many as 96 pieces. Many of them are variations on an activity, such as indoor or outdoor running, swimming in the sea or pool, you get the idea. Regardless, there are many. It can also auto-detect when you start, for example, starting a running session.
What’s really fun is that the band has several animated types of training, such as you can do in the office, among other things. It’s not about moving men either, but they look really professional.
Huawei Watch Fit also has built-in GPS, something that the other activity bands lack. You thus do not have to carry the phone with you to get a more accurate overview of how far you have run. However, you still need to bring some kind of music player with you if you want to be able to listen to music while running.
Of course there is an app
The watch is paired via bluetooth with the Huawei Health app. In this you can then easily follow your training, sleep, heart rate and much more. All info is presented in Swedish and is easier to follow than, for example, Xiaomi’s app. You can set whether the activity bar should display the same notifications that you receive in the phone – it also works with Iphone. Unfortunately, you can not act on a notice through the activity bracelet, but you must then use the phone. To be able to act on notices, you must take the step up to a smartwatch.
Battery that lasts a long time
With a weight of only 21 grams, it is not without that we are impressed with the battery life. It lasts up to ten days. If you use a GPS, however, you can expect the battery to run out much faster. Fortunately, it is possible to charge quickly: after five minutes of charging, you have enough for one day.
If we hit something that does not go hand in hand with electricity, we end up in the water. And so does the Watch FIt. It is waterproof down to a depth of 50 meters.
The activity bracelet also constantly monitors your heart rate and your blood’s oxygen saturation (SpO2) for as long as you wear it. Wear it while you sleep and you get an overview of your sleep. If it works? Yep, well above expectations. Your sleep, or lack thereof, is presented in a clear diagram. It is also possible to add menstrual cycles and ovulation.
On the whole, the Huawei Watch Fit Elegant is a really excellent activity bracelet that performs very well in terms of training compared to more expensive smart watches. It is also an activity bracelet that we can without hesitation recommend!
