More ghost hunting! Ghostbusters VR has been announced for Meta Quest 2

Ghost hunting seems to have reached a new golden age, with games like Phasmophobia and Midnight Ghost Hunt in early access, and of course also upcoming Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed. Now it also turns out that another official Ghostbusters game is on the way, which is simply called Ghostbusters VR.

As the name suggests, it’s a virtual reality game, and it’s (at least so far) been announced for Meta / Oculus Quest 2. The game will give us a “new chapter in the Ghostbusters universe” and takes place in San Francisco rather than New York. The trailer does not give us much to go on and does not look like actual gameplay, but we know at least that we will be able to play alone or with up to three teammates.

One thing we can state is that it is a fairly easy interpretation of the brand (although Ghostbusters has never been serious), especially considering that one of the ghost hunters is wearing a hat reminiscent of a damn angry rat. Unlocking cosmetic items thus seems to be on the agenda.

In any case, we are attracted by a nutritious campaign where we will track, shoot and catch ghosts. Ndreams is responsible for the development, which, among other things, has developed Far Cry VR: Dive Into Insanity, Phantom: Covert Ops, Fracked and forthcoming Little Cities.
