Initially, Volition and Deep Silver were planning to go out reboot Saints Row last February, but preferred to postpone its release date to August 23. With the behemoths released at the same time at the start of the year, it was a wise decision, especially since this new episode is divisive in terms of atmosphere, just watch the trailer for Game Awards to realize it.
Good news if you are waiting for it, the developers of Volition will present it to us in more detail next week, Wednesday, April 20 at 9:00 p.m.which will always be much better to watch than the political debate broadcast at the same time… You can follow the whole thing from the video stream Youtube above or on Twitch. There we will discover an overview of the customization options for our character, vehicles and weaponsand we are already certain that a trailerinterviews and various unpublished information will be shared, all presented by actress Mica Burton.
Update : you can therefore review the entire presentation or simply the long trailer showing many facets of customization below. Volition has clearly designed its game to offer us gigantic creative freedom. We can therefore create our character from head to toewith the possibility of deforming its head or put on prostheses, a great initiative for people with disabilities who want to identify with their virtual avatar. Hairstyle, teething, facial hair, everything will go with many textures, the choice of colors and much more. 8 different voices will also be included.
Vehicles will also be entitled to this attention to detail, for intense tuning sessions.with parts purchasable from Jim Rob’s (do not reverse the initials…) for example to add nitro or equip our racing car for off road. Moreover, tanks, helicopters, boats and even hoverboards will be available, all customizable at leisure. It will be possible to add a cable to pull other vehicles with ours and even equip it withan ejection seat to propel us into the air and then use our wingsuit to fly !
We can also personalize our style through clothes (or leave it naked), many accessories and even emotes. Weapons will have their decals, textures, and other editable elements, and it will be possible to change their appearance without hampering their performance. Examples given were of a rocket launcher resembling a violin case and an umbrella as a gun. If you plan to recreate the Penguin of Batmanyou now know what to do.
At last, the HQ of Saints located in a church will also be modified according to our tastesinside and out, with collectables to furnish it, an armory and an integrated garage, but also a map to manage our empire on the 2nd floor. And as the boss, it’s us, gang members will have a dress code chosen by us and will drive in the cars of our choice. Despite the totally offbeat side that can be applied, it will be up to us to decide if we want the Saints look serious or not. The whole would almost have enough to remind us saints row 2 from certain sides, which is not displeasing to us.
Saints Row will be released as a reminder on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC (Epic Games Store). You can pre-order it from €52.49 on Amazon.
