Officially announced in 2020, Skate 4 is a highly anticipated game by the community. Long-requested by fans, we now look forward to discovering the first images of the game and it is today, in a way, done.

Skate 4 is coming out “soon” according to Electronic Arts

Skate 4 pre-alpha gameplay leaked

It is through Jeff Grubb that we discover what he describes as pre-alpha gameplay of Skate 4. According to him, these first images are in line with the state of progress of the project. He also specifies that the studio seems to have the freedom to test several things and that he will give new details soon.

Here are some pre-alpha images of Skate 4. This matches what I’ve heard from several people about the progress of the game. They’re trying to find the right feel, which is probably the most important aspect of a skateboarding game.

For me, all of this is exciting. Seems like the focus is on smooth animation and EA respects its wish to give all of its developers plenty of time to prototype (the Respawn method).

This short extract shows several lines as well as exploration on foot. Of course, we must not stop on the visual aspect of the video since it is a low-advanced version of the game, and without textures, effects or details that arrive at the end of development.

We recently learned that Skate 4 had entered the testing phase and could be revealed “soon”. If it is difficult to know when these images date from, it is a safe bet that EA will speak this summer to present this highly anticipated title.
