The Hand of Merlin has been announced for Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Independent developer Room-C Games, working in co-production with Croteam and indie publisher Versus Evil, is pleased to announce that its rogue-lite RPG The Hand of Merlin will be released in version 1.0 on June 14th, 2022 for PC , PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and for the Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One consoles.

The console version will include all eight major updates to the PC version released during the Steam Early Access period. Developer Room-C Games has implemented many new features and gameplay improvements including meta progression, passive abilities, alternate maps, different difficulty modes and overhauled the visual VFX.

The Hand of Merlin is a turn-based villain-lite RPG created by Jonas Kyratzes (The Talos Principle, Serious Sam 4) and Verena Kyratzes (The Lands of Dream, Serious Sam 4) that combines the Arthurian legend with dark sci-fi horror crashes.

Players recruit three mortal heroes who embark on a desperate journey from Albion to Jerusalem to explore rich medieval lands on the brink of apocalypse under attack by an otherworldly evil.

In The Hand of Merlin, choices are permanent, and the choices players make in-game can make all the difference to their party’s synergy and combat ability.

In squad-based and turn-based combat, players can use tactics to use cover, set ambushes, and coordinate attacks to defeat both human and otherworldly vile enemies intent on harming them.

With a heavy focus on exploration and encounters, players traverse an intricately designed multiverse as they leap from one parallel dimension to the next. Every world saved is saved forever, but every lost world is lost for all eternity and will be swallowed up by darkness. Adventurers must weigh the consequences of their actions when making decisions, as their human form has limitations.

“We are pleased to announce that The Hand of Merlin will be released for multiple platforms, including console and PC. Fusing a hefty dose of dark sci-fi with traditional Arthurian legend gave us the creative freedom to bring something refreshingly different to the turn-based and squad-based RPG genre,” said Robert Sajko, Creative Director of Room C Games.
