Little by little, Apple is reducing the clutter of the notch on the iPhone: it is smaller on the iPhone 13, and it should turn into a hole + pill duo on the iPhone 14 Pro. When will the total disappearance? The stars are starting to align for 2024, according to several Apple watchers.
Ming-Chi Kuo has thus writing in a tweet that the truly “all-screen” iPhone will be released in 2024, that is to say a smartphone on which the essential components for Face ID and selfies are placed under the slab. According to the analyst, only the Pro models (of the iPhone 16?) will benefit from it, before probably a generalization the following year on the whole range.
Kuo adds that the launch of such an iPhone now depends more on a marketing issue than on a technical problem. Ross Young, display analyst at DSCC, also noted it’s been a while since 2024 for Apple’s smartphones to get rid of any growths.
